POOR PEOPLE'S CAMPAIGN

Let's join our sister CBF-MS churches and leaders (and many others) this Monday, June 18, for the Poor People’s Campaign event at the Capitol in Jackson. The rally is a part of the “National Call for Moral Revival” moving across state capitals around the nation, renewing the work that Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., was leading in 1967-68. The holistic agenda of the campaign is to call our social institutions to address systemic and structural racism, poverty, and inequality. Rev. William Barber is one of the national leaders of the current movement (click here to learn more).

The rally begins at 2:00 pm; everything usually ends by 4:00 pm.

If you’re interested in going, email or text me and we’ll begin working on carpool arrangements.

Doing justice, loving mercy, walking humbly,
Bert
